MOD 5
After a very restful 4 week break that seems like just a 4 day break, it’s time to get back to work. I have christened this 10 week internship Mod 5 since it’ll still involve serious learning only this time, grades are not at stake. The stakes are much higher since a good performance will result in a full time job offer. There has been a lot of chatter on the internet about the reluctance of recruiters to hire international students for full time positions during the next full time recruitment season coming up this Fall. It’s all due to the messy H1B situation. It’ll be nice to come back with an offer as it’ll ease the H1B pain.
I have just one more day to go and it’ll be time to drive up to my internship. I have my iPod fully loaded for the trip with “motivational” songs like Survivor’s (Rocky 3 soundtrack) Eye of the Tiger and Young Jeezy’s Go Getta.
It’ll be nice to get back to the corporate world if only for 10 weeks after a one year hiatus.
Since the loyal readers of this blog understand the hours involved in I-Banking, I have to say I’ll see you all in the Fall. Wish me luck J
