Another Mod is gone...almost

It occurred to me today that we have just one more week left this Mod. I have exams next week and it’ll be time for the long awaited one week of spring break. Many of my classmates are planning trips to Europe, South America and all kinds of exotic locations. I’ll definitely be heading further south somewhere warm. It also hit me that this has been a very short Mod because we did not have many days off like we did in Mods 1 and 2 to attend to recruiting matters. It’s been a very good one and certainly my best Mod so far. I enjoyed all the classes and had a same schedule.

We had one of our Dean’s Speaker Series events today and Koury Auditorium was jam packed with a very diverse crowd from far and near who came to listen to Bob Johnson’s speech. Bob Johnson is the Founder, Chairman & CEO of Black Entertainment TV (BET), Majority Owner of NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and has served on the board of numerous corporations. He gave a nice and inspiring speech and handled all the questions thrown at him very well. Now that’s someone I’ll like to be like when I grow up.

UNC 79 Duke 73

Congratulations to the round recent admits. I had the honor of calling a few of them tonight to congratulate them. Right after that it was time for the big Basketball Game between UNC and Dook. Beautiful game and of course we left them feeling blue in their own house. I had a great time taunting my brother after the game. The celebration and fun in Chapel Hill after such a huge game can only be imagined by someone residing in a college town.
